Start your day early with half an hour of Yoga and see how easy it is to feel rejuvenated to face the whole day ahead. Not only does Yoga make you feel refreshed and relaxed but helps you to stay fit. Here are a few easy yoga steps which will help you to lose weight while keeping fit in a month:
1. Veerbhadrasana(Warrior pose I) –
This is one of the best poses in Yoga to lose weight. First stand with legs spread and then bring your hands up above your head and stretch them. Join both hands together and turn your body towards the right side. Bend your right knee slightly while trying to stretch your abdominal muscles. Hold this pose for 30seconds to 1 minute. Now repeat the same thing turning towards the left. This posture will strengthen your muscles and tone your legs, back and tummy.
2. Warrior pose II –
This yoga pose is just the same as the above. Stand with your legs placed away from one another. You have to move your right leg to the right side and bend your right knee so that your right thigh is parallel to the floor. Spread your hands to two sides keeping them parallel to the floor and look to your right. Count for 30 seconds to 1 minute and then return to the starting position. Repeat the same on the other side. This pose helps to eliminate tummy and leg fat.
3. Utkatasana (Chair pose) –
This is one of the best thigh exercises that strengthen and tones the muscles hips, back and chest along with the ankle and knees. Firstly put your feet together and raise your hands above your head. Stretch them and bend your knees, giving your body the shape of a chair. Now remain in this position for at least a minute while breathing normally. Doing this 3-4 times every day will tone down your thighs and melt the fat from your tummy.
4. Boat pose –
Sit down, stretch out your legs and pull up your knee. Thighs should be tight and toes pointed. Now lift your feet off the ground and bring your legs to a 45-degree angle with your body. Raise your feet and don’t bend your knees. The V shape of the body will make it look like a boat. Also raise your arms to the shoulder level. This asana increases stamina and cuts down tummy fat.
5. Paripurna navasana(Bridge pose) –
This asana helps to tone the tummy and abdominal muscles. You need to lie down on your back with feet joined in front and your hands by the side on the ground. Now, lift your legs and back off the ground while keeping hands on the ground and toes touching the ground. Hold this position for 30 seconds to 1 minute. Repeat this 3-4 times.
6. Baddha Konasana(cobbler’s pose) –
The cobbler’s pose is the easiest and most effective poses of yoga. You need to sit down with a straight back. Bend your knees and face the soles of each foot towards the other. Press the soles together and hold this pose for at least a minute.
7. Salabhasana or Locust pose –
For this asana lie face down with your palms on the ground. Now lift up your legs without bending your knees. Your upper body and hands should be stretched up. Balance yourself on your tummy. This posture will reduce hip fat and strengthen leg muscles.
8. Ustrasana or Camel pose –
This is the best yoga to lose weight as it targets the tummy, back and thighs. Stretch your body and look above then slowly hold your heels, one hand after the other. Bend backward and stretch the abdominal area. Hold this position for 30 seconds to one minute before going back to starting position. This position is useful to melt the fat in almost all the areas of the body. do this 3-4 times daily.
